Alice O’Shea was born in Cambridge and earned a BA in Art from Cambridge School of Art in 2015. Her work spans mixed media seascapes, traditional oil paintings, and large sculpture installations for Wild in Art. In 2021, she was a wildcard contestant on Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year, and in 2023, she painted Lenny Henry live for a Guinness World Record.
ABOUT THE SCULPTURE
Wonder is inspired by the mystery and beauty of outer space, using astrophotography to depict the glowing colours of a nebula. This abstract design captures a fleeting moment of cosmic grandeur, celebrating the birth and life cycles of stars. It evokes awe at the vastness of the universe, reflecting the natural beauty and complexity of interstellar space.
