How your donations make a difference
When patients come into the hospice, we ask them “What’s most important to you?” Often, it’s the simple gestures that will give them the most comfort and pleasure. Our teams will work together to make these happen, creating treasured memories for all the family.
Alex’s story
At just 13 months old, Alex was diagnosed with a genetic chromosome condition called Angelman syndrome.
When Alex was younger, the family were told she wouldn’t need hospice care. However, her condition rapidly declined and, her mum, Megan, asked the consultants if Alex’s life would be limited. They said yes, so she reached out to Little Havens to ask for support. Since 2021, Little Havens has been a safe haven for Alex, Megan and her brother Oscar.
“Coming to Little Havens is the only time I can fully breathe and relax.
