Oh, I do like to waddle beside the seaside!

Craig Hallums is an illustrator from Southend-on-Sea known for intricate pen and ink drawings. He recently adapted his distinctive style for larger murals, including work at Southend City Jam. A two-time finalist in the Southend Portrait Artist competition, Craig is a member of the 70 The Broadway Gallery and Collective and has contributed officially licenced artwork to various trading card companies, on properties such as Marvel and Star Wars.
ABOUT THE SCULPTURE
This design presents a small narrative following the footsteps of a single penguin as they ‘Waddle-on-Sea’. It’s a playful, small-scale mirror of the wider trail as you find the various penguins throughout. The spiralling design draws the viewer around the full 3-dimensionality of the statue.
